How to install Zabbix on Debian 11

Update the System

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

Install Required Packages

sudo apt install apache2 mysql-server mysql-client php7.4 php7.4-mysql php7.4-gd php7.4-curl php7.4-bz2 php7.4-xml php7.4-ldap php7.4-mbstring php7.4-bcmath php7.4-json

Install Zabbix repository

wget https://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/6.4/debian/pool/main/z/zabbix-release/zabbix-release_6.4-1+debian11_all.deb

 dpkg -i zabbix-release_6.4-1+debian11_all.deb
apt update

Install Zabbix Server, Frontend, and Agent

apt install zabbix-server-mysql zabbix-frontend-php zabbix-apache-conf zabbix-sql-scripts zabbix-agent
mysql -uroot -p
mysql> create database zabbix character set utf8mb4 collate utf8mb4_bin;
mysql> create user zabbix@localhost identified by 'password';
mysql> grant all privileges on zabbix.* to zabbix@localhost;
mysql> set global log_bin_trust_function_creators = 1;
mysql> quit;
zcat /usr/share/zabbix-sql-scripts/mysql/server.sql.gz | mysql --default-character-set=utf8mb4 -uzabbix -p zabbix
mysql> set global log_bin_trust_function_creators = 0;
mysql> quit;
vi /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf

DBPassword=password
systemctl restart zabbix-server zabbix-agent apache2
systemctl enable zabbix-server zabbix-agent apache2
